The management team for DCV is composed of the following members:

Martin J. Cannon, Ph.D. is a founder of the company and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Immunology at UAMS. Dr. Cannon received his Ph.D. in Immunology from the Royal Veterinary College, London University in 1984. After a post doctoral assignment at the National Institute for Medical Research, London, he served on the faculty at Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, California and then moved to UAMS in 1995. Dr. Cannon currently serves as a consultant for several cancer research agencies, including the National Cancer Institute, the Veterans Administration Medical Research Service, and the Department of Defense (DOD) Ovarian Cancer Research Program. Dr. Cannon will serve as the Vice President for Research and Development for DCV Technologies.

 

Slaton E, Fry, Ph.D., M.B.A. will be the President of DCV Technologies once the company receives funding. Dr. Fry received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Arkansas in 1985 and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2003. He worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 16 years as a Production, Engineering Staff, and R&D Manager in Eastman’s Fine Chemicals Business Unit. At Eastman he was responsible for chemical process development, chemical and pharmaceutical process improvement, fine chemical production, quality assurance and quality control for both cGMP and non-cGMP processes.

 

H. Watt Gregory, III, Director is a partner in the Little Rock, Arkansas office of Kutak Rock LLP, a national law firm of 325 attorneys with offices in 15 cities throughout the country. His practice has been concentrated for over 37 years in business development and finance, including initial public offerings and issuance of other equity and debt securities in the public markets, as well as private equity and venture capital-related financings involved in business formation and development. Mr. Gregory served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Arts Center from 1990-1998, and he is the Immediate Past Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Arkansas Bar Association. He currently serves on Accelerating Arkansas, a volunteer initiative of professionals in business, education and economic development working to help advance per capita income in Arkansas through emphasis on accelerating the growth of knowledge based industries in the State. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Venture Forum, and is Co-Chair of the 2004 Arkansas Venture Capital Conference. Mr. Gregory earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas, School of Law in 1966 and received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1963.

 

J. French Hill, Director, 47, is an investor and venture capitalist living in his hometown of Little Rock. He is a founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Delta Trust & Banking Corp., a private banking company headquartered in Little Rock. Mr. Hill has extensive experience in the finance and banking industry and has served as a key manager for First Commercial Corporation, now a part of Regions Financial Corporation. In addition to his experience in the banking industry, Mr. Hill has served as the advisor to Governor Mike Huckabee, several U.S. Senators, as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury and as a Special Assistant to the President to President George W. Bush. Mr. Hill received his degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

 

Timothy J. O’Brien, Ph.D. is a founder of the company and currently serves as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UAMS and Director of UAMS Arkansas BioVentures. Dr. O’Brien received his Ph.D. in biochemistry in 1967 from the University of Illinois. He has worked in the field of gynecological oncology for over 30 years at the University of Southern California and UAMS. He is also the founder of Stage I Diagnostics, LLC, an early stage biotechnology company that is developing in vitro cancer diagnostic products. Dr. O’Brien will provide consulting services to DCV in the area of tumor marker discovery.

 

Alessandro D. Santin, M.D. is a founder of the company and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Gynecological Oncology at UAMS. Dr. Santin received his M.D. from the University of Bresca, Italy in 1989 and served as a post doctoral researcher at the University of California, Irvine and as an International Fellow at UAMS. Dr. Santin will serve as the Vice President of Clinical Development for DCV Technologies.
